Okay, this contest is simple; all you have to do is guess the nickname of the players listed. We'll be doing one player at a time. This will be strictly over baseball players, probably just over the older ones. Only one guess per person is allowed, each nickname is 5 points a piece. The first one to reply with the correct answer will receive 5 points. If no one can guess a nickname of a certain player, then we'll put up a multiple choice. The first one to reply with the correct answer will only receive one point, so let's try not to get any multiple choice ones as they can really hurt your points. Reason for this is because you have several answers out in front of you, and one of them is the correct answer. Once you post your reply for a nickname, please do not post again on the same nickname or modify your post. Anyone found doing this will probably be disqualified from participating. I'll reply to this contest thread to let everyone know if there's a winner who gets a nickname right. Alexis and I will be taking turns, so when she's doing a nickname, she'll call a winner and when I'm doing one, I'll call a winner. There will be a total of 20 names. Everyone is elgible to participate. Winner of this contest will receive 10 Elite Points and these two cards:
2003 Fleer Classic PostSeason Glory Dave Parker and Willie Stargell 14 of 30 PG #'d insert 1266/1500
1990 Topps Sammy Sosa Rookie #692
If all goes as planned, contest will end on May 15th or May 16th. Keep in mind that most of these names, if not all, will have more than one nickname, so therefore, there may be more than one answer. Also keep in mind that this contest could end early if someone gets too many right. We'll have no other choice but to call them the winner if that happens. A score board will be added, and those who receive points will be placed on that board. Good luck and let the contest begin!
