(1) If you want to become a good trader and get more deals: make your trade/sale threads reasonable to offers. For example, you can't take a card that's valued at $40 and expect to have luck selling it for $35 on here, or on any other trading site. It's not going to happen. Of course, you'll need to know the value of your cards to make a great reasonable offer. You make great reasonable offers, then you'll most likely come to more agreed upon trade/sales. You most likely won't get anywhere if you don't do things reasonably.
(2) Let your trade partner know when your end is received:
when you have a current trade/sale going on, it's always best to PM your trade partner and let him/her know when your end is received and reply to the trade/sale thread saying you've received. Trust me, your trade partner doesn't want to have to contact you and ask you day after day if your end is received. I find myself doing it alot, but it's become a habit for me. After your cards/money is shipped out, it's best to update your trade partner from time to time and let them know if you received your end or not. Trust me, they'll appreciate it and it will make you look good in communication skills. I know there's members out there who are sick of having to constantly contact their trade partners to see if they received or not. Also, you'll want to leave feedback for them as soon as the trade/sale gets moved to completed. If you do this with the trade/sale going smooth, then that member will be more than glad to negotiate with you again. Remember, along with great feedback comes great trust.
(3) Add some extras: it never hurts to add an extra card or two with what you're shipping to your trade partner. Your trade partner will most likely mention that they received extras when leaving feedback for you. If they do, it will make you look good, they'll appreciate the extras, and it will probably make more people want to trade with you. It makes a difference between a good trader and a great trader.
Of course, there's more ways to become a good/better trader, but I hope these three tips have helped you get started.
Thanks, Collector
