Determining whether or not a autograph card is authentic, has been a problem for some of us, and may still be a problem. I've come across several members who thought they had a authentic autograph card when they really didn't. I even thought I had some authentic autographed cards, but later found out that I was wrong. I'm sure that there's other people who are still wandering if their autographed cards are authentic. Well, that's the main reason I'm posting this: to help you determine authentic from non-authentic autographs. If you really have a authentic autograph, then it should say somewhere on the card that it's authentic. It usually says that it's authentic on the back of the card, but it can sometimes be on the front. If you don't see the word "Authentic" anywhere on the card, then it's either been signed in person or it's not an authentic autograph. Hope this clears the autograph problem up. Trust me, it's important to know if you have any authentic autographs or not, especially if you plan on selling or trading any of them. It can make a huge difference in value. Let's say you have a non-authentic autograph of Derek Jeter, but you believe it's authentic. You decide to sell this Derek Jeter non-authentic card for around $45 after saying it was authentic. Let's say you get a reply for the card and you sell it. Once that person finds out it's not authentic, you're going to have a good sale turn bad. Same thing will happen to a trade. That's why it's important to know if it's a authentic autograph or not. Hope this has helped. If anyone has anything else to add or has any questions regarding this, then please feel free to post!
