Just wandering how much you think a card has to be worth before you consider it "high-valued." I'm going to say that a card has to at least book $50 before I consider it high in value. Everyone has different opinions, though, so please feel free to share them. Thanks, Collector

The highest Card in my collection with a BV is $50 (Nolan Ryan GU) But I also have a Zito Patch /25 and Ronny Turiaf AU /25 That are worth around that range. But a High BV card for me is $50 or more is high.

to me HIGH VALUE is something that I won't just go in and buy on a weekly visit to the local card shop. Sometimes that could be as low as $50 as stated here..
I'd put it between $50 and 100 as a good starting range.
Like the Shaun Alexander Auto RC that I'm looking for, they're all going for WELL over $125 on ebay right now, so i'd consider those HIGH VALUE. (lucky for me that Ronnie Brown Chrome Auto RC that I pulled in my break the other week is selling for AT LEAST that right now, so I'll get to get one of my HIGH VALUE Alexander RC's....

I usually start at $100 for high value. The strange thing to me about values is that rarely does anyone pay BV for a card. I collect coins & currency and there you expect to pay at least book value and alot of times over it every time not just on certain ones. I'm still getting used to that...

I'm surprised about that too warman. To show an example, I just recently won a 1955 Bowman Yogi Berra on ebay, for less than $19 (yes, it is real)

You'll rarely find any collectors, if any at all, paying BV for cards. People just don't wanna spend BV on cards. That's how the collecting world works. That Yogi Berra that cubs4life won was pretty nice, but I'm sure it had some flaws or it would've went for more than 20 dollars. Value depends on the condition. There's serious collectors out there who won't buy banged up vintage cards, they only collect flawless cards. You may get a surprise to see some serious collectors pay over BV for a nice vintage card. Thanks, Collector

jonnyweb---I have an Alexander RC Auto... I bought it for $30 at the mall. Has a CoA with it too. And it's not coming out of my hands anytime soon... EDIT: To stay on topic, I think a card BV $40-50+ is high. 8-)Hawk
