Today will be Adam Sandler in : The Longest Yard
If you aren't old enough to remember the original it was a great movie starring Burt Reynolds in the lead role.
The 2005 movie was basically the same movie with different people. Most notably wrestlers (stone cold steve austin, kevin nash, goldberg) and ex-nfl players (brian bosworth, LB from broncos and raiders?)
All in all the movie was really good. As long as your not the type to look at both and criticize the newer movie. Sandler as usual puts on a good spin to his leading role and of course he has his friends in bit parts.
I give it a 4 out of 5. In watchability.

Bill Romanowski. Michael Irvin is in it and so is Nelly. i bought the old one a few months ago, in fact a few weeks before i watched the new one, i have to say the new one IMO is much better/funnier than the original.

Romanowski yeah I have been ripping my hair out trying to think of it without actually looking on the movie. Oh yeah I didn't give micheal irvin his dues! Big deal about nelly he is a singer. He did a good enough job but I'm tired of all these singers thinking they all can act. Myself I would have asked DMX.

OH by the way the original has to get a thumbs up (most of the time) as if not for it there would not be a remake.

I like the original, don't get me wrong. I just like the new one better. Agreed on the Nelly thing.

Todays movie review: [glow=red,2,300]The Land of the Dead[/glow] George Romero does his final installation of his hit Dead series. If you love the genre you will not be disappointed in this one! This movie has everything! Gore, Zombies good acting and did I mention zombies? This movie just shows the progression of his movies. The zombies now rule the world and humans are in the minority. I hate to say more about it so not to ruin it for anyone. Rating 5/5 especially for you horror hounds (like me)

Haven't done this in awhile, so thought I'd reve it. Todays review: [glow=red,2,300]KING KONG[/glow]
If you haven't seen it or thought about renting it? Don't I can't believe the guy that made Lord of the Ring trilogy did this. The movie is very long especially just waiting to see Kong. You can tell they shot it with a blue screen and that is unacceptable, in this day and age! The only high point is Kong. Holy crap the details where excellent. That is the only saving grace of this movie! There are 45 minutes on skull island that make worth viewing, but the rest is just way too long of a storytelling that will put you to sleep, faster than using cloroform on King Kong! Inside joke if you seen the film. I give it 2 out of 5/
George
